HandbookHub – Refund Policy

This Refund Policy is part of and incorporated into our Terms & Conditions. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.

1. Free Plan – Try Before You Buy

We offer a free registration plan with limited usage so you can fully evaluate HandbookHub before making any purchase decision. The free plan currently includes:

Up to 1,000 AI-generated words
Limited number of handbooks and features
Access to core functionality

By upgrading to a paid subscription, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to evaluate the Service on the free plan and are satisfied with its functionality, features, and AI-generated content quality.

2. Strict No-Refund Policy

All subscription fees are non-refundable. This is a strict policy with limited exceptions.

By subscribing, you understand and agree:

You have tested the Service on the free plan before paying
You are satisfied with the Service's functionality and AI output quality
All charges are final once processed
No partial, pro-rated, or full refunds will be issued for:
- Unused subscription time
- Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content
- Features not meeting your expectations
- Failure to use the Service
- Forgetting to cancel before renewal
- Changes to your business needs

3. PDF Export Confirms Delivered Value

Once you export any handbook or page to PDF, your subscription becomes non-refundable under any circumstances. PDF exports represent permanently delivered value that you retain indefinitely, regardless of subscription status.

4. Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. It is your responsibility to cancel before the renewal date if you do not wish to continue. We are not obligated to remind you of upcoming renewals, though we may do so as a courtesy.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

No further charges will be made
Access continues until the end of the current paid period
No refund is provided for the remaining period
Your data may be deleted after the retention period specified in our Privacy Policy

6. Plan Changes

Upgrades: Take effect immediately; you are charged the prorated difference
Downgrades: Take effect at the next billing cycle; no refunds for the current period

7. Billing Disputes

If you believe you were charged in error, you must contact us at alex@handbookhub.com within 14 days of the charge. We will review legitimate billing errors (e.g., duplicate charges, charges after valid cancellation).

Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us, we reserve the right to:

Immediately suspend or terminate your account
Dispute the chargeback with evidence of service delivery
Pursue collection of amounts owed
Prohibit you from future use of the Service

8. AI Content Disclaimer

AI-generated content quality is inherently variable. Dissatisfaction with AI output is not grounds for a refund. The free plan exists specifically so you can evaluate AI quality before purchasing. By upgrading, you accept the AI output quality as adequate for your needs.

9. Exceptions

Refunds are only provided where strictly required by Hungarian or EU consumer protection law. Even in such cases, refunds may be reduced to account for:

Value already received (e.g., AI words generated, PDF exports)
The free evaluation period you had access to

10. Service Credits

At our sole discretion, we may offer service credits (additional subscription time) as a goodwill gesture for documented service outages or technical issues. Service credits:

Are not cash refunds
Cannot be transferred or exchanged
Expire if not used within the granted period
Do not set precedent for future issues
